Visit pristine beaches, snorkel in emerald seas and explore traditional villages whilst staying in a lovely pousada about three hours from Rio, on this Brazil beach holiday.
But before you head for the beach, take some time to explore the amazing city of Rio de Janeiro. You have two full days to explore, including a full day’s guided tour to see the highlights.
Your beach stay is in the Costa Verde about 3-4 hours south of Rio, and under an hour from the lovely village of Paraty.
Your small, nine room boutique hotel is the Pousada Picinguaba. It has a fabulous position on this forested coastline. The rooms overlook tropical gardens that surround the spring-fed swimming pool. This is a very relaxed ‘rustic chic’ hotel, and a tranquil place to recharge your batteries (there is a natural spa here, too). You could take the hotel’s schooner to deserted islands and beaches, accompany a local guide through the rainforest to spectacular hidden waterfalls, visit beautiful Paraty half an hour away, dive, fish, surf, or sea kayak.
